Two Shots Missed

Prologue

In the middle of the night she was awake. She heard something, in less than a second her heartbeat had risen to an extreme level. She held her breath and kept her eyes closed pretending she knew nothing. She had frozen praying she had been dreaming. In the Holiday Inn on King, someone was there in her room, ready to release the hummer of a gunlock by her bed. The tension would have killed her if not the bullet. At the most dangerous moment in her life, only God could have saved her. Without hesitation she flipped over her body to the other side, anything should have happened it happened, she fell back to sleep......

All the taxi drivers in the area appeared to be spies from somewhere. It was chilly in the street with minors 10-15 Celsius degree. She needed one to move around checking out her options of accommodation. It had to be a large scale hotel instead of some fancy or trendy so-called boutique ones. Marriott she wanted to give it a try, asked the driver to pull over and wait. While climbing up the stairs, she suddenly slipped and fell like a crashing toy. The Sniper across the street had missed his target the second time.
