Erectile Dysfunction

Sex for men takes many forms. Sex can be enjoyable with a woman, with more than one woman, on your own, or with another man (or men etc. etc). This of course is a matter of personal preference and generally what happens in private between two or more consenting adults is their affair. Unfortunately for us in this pleasure seeking world, anything that's this much fun can bring it's own problems.

What's the risk?

Most men will experience an erection problem at least once. This could be due to stress, exhaustion, too much alcohol or simply not feeling like sex. Persistent erectile dysfunction (ED) is estimated to affect about 10% of men at any one time.
Although age itself isn't a cause of erectile dysfunction (ED), the risk nevertheless increases as you get older: 18% of 50–59 year olds have trouble with their erections compared with 7% of 18–29 year olds.

What causes it?

There are two main causes of ED: physical and psychological. Most doctors agree that the majority of cases are physical but it's also clear that many men with ED also quickly start to feel anxious, stressed or depressed. These feelings can easily make the symptoms of ED worse.

How can you prevent it?

Have a healthy lifestyle. Quitting smoking and drinking alcohol in moderation will help. Regular aerobic exercise and a low-fat diet will also reduce the risks of atherosclerosis. If you have diabetes, ensure it's properly controlled.

How can you help yourself?

Share your worries. No, you don't have to tell your work colleagues about your penis problems, but it will help enormously if you can talk to someone you trust. It's particularly important to communicate with your partner. Some men try to deal with their ED by hiding it from their partner and make all sorts of excuses not to attempt sex. This can cause feelings of confusion and rejection as well as suspicions that you're having an affair. You best bet is to be as open and honest as possible with your partner and ask for support. Don't try and treat yourself by seeking out pornography, or by asking a partner to wear erotic clothing or act out your fantasies. This almost certainly won't work and could leave you feeling even more upset. Don't blame yourself for your ED. It's a health problem and not a reflection of your masculinity. Don't be tempted to blame your partner either.

Crime Of The Century

~ Chapter 1 ~

They entered the Presidential Suite, carefully locked the door.

"It's been quite a while we haven't seen each other, you look the same as always, charming and loving." he complimented her in a humble way.

She's flattered, threw herself into the couch and lit a cigarette. " Tell me why we're here? "

" Straightly business, nothing personal. " he sat on the other side of the couch, tended to keep the distance.

She lapsed into a brief silence. The answer was simply not what she'd expected.

" Sonia, don't be upset as those were the days. Your hubby is no ordinary person that I can't afford to take the chance. Let's talk about business you'd love it. "

" That disgusting old man I've had enough with him. If not for his fortune I'd have walked away years ago. Do you know he actually killed his wife? "

" Isn't that all rumors? Don't worry you're too tough to get killed. " he teased her as if they were lovers back to some time ago.

" I'm sick of him anyway, he doesn't have the guts to marry me that irritates me the most. Not that I want to be his wife desperately but we've been together for more than a decade, long enough to make my own fortune then marry someone I truly love, for instance someone like you Jarry... " her body leaned toward him, gradually and intentionally.

He flushed and sighed, tired to comfort her with a soothing tone, " Sonia, my wife is in town. And he's eighty years old already what're you complaining about? Be patient and positive, you'll soon become the richest and most powerful woman in Asia. " To avoid embarrassment, he stood up to grab a drink and got her a Martini on the rock.

His body language was clear and loud, avoiding her seduction to stay clean but what a foolish man she thought. Yet he's a powerful man who had once helped her to get what she wanted. Fame and famous, and some big bucks for sure.

" Shall we get started my beautiful Cinderella? " he finished his Vodka then gave her ego a boost, trying his best to make it up.

" I'm listening. Any deal that's under a billion is not worth discussing. " Now she's playing tough to gain back her dignity. She fell short on this man because he knew where she came from.

" Are you ready for a surprise? I'm not sure if you can handle this? " he sat back on the couch wearing a mysterious smile.

She's almost offended. " Well surprise me you'd better do! "

" Here's a project can make billions of dollars at the least. Have you heard about Ali's Father the rising star in China? "

" All I've heard you're join venture partners, what's the big deal of it? " she sounded as if she's not at all impressed, delivered him a glancing stare.

He pulled out a file from his costly lamb leather brief case, handed the file to her as if giving her a treasure that nobody could have imagined.

" Sonia, take a good look at it. I'm going to make a few phone calls and shall return in half an hour. Hope you'd agree this is really something you've been dreaming of, a great challenge of making something out of nothing. Only you and I and your hubby can do it. Study it and I'll be back. " Afterwards he went to the master bedroom and shut the door, leaving her alone with tons of doubts and questions in the air.

Now, she looked at the folder labelled with classified document, her curiosity arose to the boiling point. She had a sip of her Martini then went through the file seriously, as if it was a page turning thriller fiction.

Exactly thirty minutes later he unclipped his cell phone walked out from the bedroom, finding her in shock and excitement. He laughed and very proud of himself, at last he'd broken this arrogant woman into pieces, by presenting her a fraudulent scheme that would have made them more affluent. Greed has no boundaries, it's human nature after all.

Idiotic Superdog

Stop the drill and sirens, Superdog, before I post your naked photo on this site. Haven't done so you know why.

So you think by playing the same old trick till the end of January, Stephen Harper will then resume power winning this manipulating game? You may well be a genius in the business sector but an idiot in the political sphere. Back off and mind your own business.

Stephen Harper MUST BE and WILL BE removed. Period.

Clock Is Ticking

I tried to be patient, but we're running out of time. Sweetheart, I know how difficult your situation is, but I can't remain silent because this is not just about us. There are my family and other seven million people I care about. I must survive to get this done.

I do love you, and I always will, no matter what lies ahead. But I can't live a life like this, being isolated and under the shade of horror all the time, especially when your father is trying to harm me or even take my life. We being lovers are meant to be, but future is in God's hands. NOW KEEP PRAYING AND DO WHATEVER YOU THINK IS RIGHT. Remember I love you dearly and I've never meant to hurt your feelings in any way. I just need to survive to make it right. The clock is ticking as things have gone wrong with the media, that's very dangerous signal to me. That of course is your father who stays behind the scene. Meanwhile I'm paying much attention to observe whoever tries to mislead me, in HK and in here.

The never ending drama performing in this building has been entertaining. That of course again is your father who stays behind the scene, at all times. But I'm in no mood to be entertained, 2008 will soon be over, I'm going to win this battle and start a new chapter with or without you. I will let go if I must.

Boxing Day Call

Hello my dear it's George.

Uncle George? Merry Christmas and...

No no no...it's Clooney.

Oh really, how are you?

I've heard you're getting married. By any chance we can get together to have a cup of coffee before that?

I'm not sure as my sweetheart hasn't shown up yet.

Good to know...hm...I mean God knows. Can we get together to have a luncheon then?

George you know what, I'm so frustrated that I promise myself I'd marry to whoever knocks on my door in the next 24 hours.

My dear you don't have to do that, many decent guys would love to filling in if you're available. Where do you live by the way?

End Of The Journey

Father, things are getting ugly, aren't they?

Today was the second time I'd been physically assaulted in three days, if that wasn't you watching over me I would have gotten hurt. I'm not afraid because you're with me, I shall not pray for easier lives but pray to be a stronger woman. I shall not pray for tasks equal to my powers but pray for powers equal to my tasks.

Last night I finally finished reading the Bible, I know where I'm heading though I don't know when and how, I don't need to know. In time you will guide me through to the end of this journey, with triumph and victory.

Father may you bless my family, Richard and his family, it's never been easy to be our loved ones. It's never been easy to be your soldiers, but we're honored to be the ones.

In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Prime Minister Indent To Step Down

The prime minister has often been accused of bullying the opposition, despite having a minority. The tense situation even led to the prorogation of Parliament in November. So, does the prime minister admit he made some mistakes leading up to the economic statement?

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has run in three elections, one resulting in defeat and two resulting in a minority government. Some voices inside his own party are even suggesting it is time for a new leader. When does the prime minister indent to step down?

For those who think Canadian politics cannot get any more exciting than it did in 2008, next year could bring an even-worsening economy and the possible success of a coalition government.

Right Here Waiting

Sweetheart, I got your card today, it was nice.

I always knew it was you, at the very beginning.

Been a little bit down because I miss you TOO much.

Never thought I'd fall in love with someone as great as you are.

As days go by, I love you more than I could have imagined.

Am I going to see you soon, and will you let me know?

Keep praying sweetheart... I love you.

Stephen Lame Duck Harper

Roger, roger, do you copy?

Copy copy, what's up?

Have they fixed the TSX?

Sounded like a chip inside a computer at the TSX data centre was malfunctioned that caused the shutdown. And the backup system wasn't properly synchronized.

How embarrassing! Hadn't they consulted the Rogers Communications Inc for technical support?

Who knows. Perhaps Edward Rogers was too busy mingling with Stephen Harper making fun of his lame duck government.

That's true, I've overheard the Harper government is going to run deep deficits up to $30-billion in order to lift Canada out of a painful recession. You know, just because he's got a degree in some field doesn't make him a professional in said field.

Wait a minute. Let me quote what he'd said during the last couple weeks.

Oct 7 : "I think there are probably some great buying opportunities emerging in the stock market as a consequence of all this panic." Being asked whether he would confidently rule out a deficit under his government his answer was: "...Yesterday I think I was asked one question about whether we would run a deficit and I said, 'No.' "

Oct 11: "The fact of the matter is independent analysts including the IMF, say that Canada is not going to go into recession with the current world environment and its current set of domestic policies. We're the one country that's going to continue to show some growth."

Nov 23: "The most recent private-sector forecasts suggest the strong possibility of a technical recession the end of this year, the beginning of next. I am surprised at this. I am also further surprised, more importantly, by deflationary pressure that we're seeing around the world. This is a worrying development, one of the reasons why it may well be necessary to take unprecedented fiscal stimulus."

Dec 15: "The truth is, I've never seen such uncertainty in terms of looking forward to the future... I'm very worried about the Canadian economy."

What the heck he's talking about by twisting his own words in such a stupid way?

I'm not surprised as well. After all, lame duck is his middle name.

In The Name Of Immortal Love

Why you look so sad?

Am I?

Yes my dear. I know you're fairly disappointed with the result.

Well, what can I say? How could I possibly beat this Obama phemomenont...

Indeed. So will you cheer up?

No I won't. Because I still think there's another person who's more likely to take over Obama.

That's interesting...who would that be?

That of course is Wen Jiabao, the Premier of China, who has committed sickening crimes time after time but still got away. I've heard the ATV and CCTV are going to produce a reality show called " In the name of immortal love ", praising him as an immoral hero. Co-starring by his secret lover Stephen Harper as his puppet love, isn't that disgusting for all of us to put up with?

Look at the bright side my dear, is there any love scene demonstrating by these two loving bisexual drama kings? Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not being judgmental but can't wait to see such a lovely drama. All in all they've been acting consistently and coherently. I believe they're well deserve to be nominated in the up-coming Oscar, since their love stories have been fully covered all over the North, South and Central America.

Alright let's see how it goes...ho ho ho...Stephen Harper.

Bomb Threat At Printemps

By Ladka Bauerova and Helene Fouquet

Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Paris luxury department store Printemps reopened for public after police found and removed explosives this morning.

The store, full of Christmas shoppers, was evacuated and closed shortly after 11 a.m. today after police alerted the management to the possibility of a bomb, Printemps said today in an e-mailed statement. The store partially reopened at 2 p.m. and was working normally by 4 p.m.

Detectives were alerted to the package by a note sent to Agence France-Presse, police spokeswoman Celine Diguignard said by telephone. French President Nicolas Sarkozy said the explosives couldn’t be set off as they didn’t have detonators. Sarkozy, speaking at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, told reporters he was “vigilant” and wouldn’t compromise with terrorists.

Responsibility was claimed by a previously unknown group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front which sent the note to AFP. The group is demanding the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan before the end of February, according to a copy of the note obtained by Bloomberg.

“Pass this message to your president and tell him to withdraw his troops from our country, otherwise we will take direct action in your capitalist department stores, and this time without warning you first,” the group said in the note.

Five sticks of dynamite were placed between the first and the second floor of the men’s section of the department store, AFP said, citing Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie.

“The police are right now analyzing the substances that have been used,” Sarkozy said. “The one thing we know is that there were no detonators.”

France has “not stopped being vigilant since 2002 when I was first interior minister,” he said. “Vigilance toward terrorism is the only line we can follow.”

France is going to step up security by adding more police officers, Alliot-Marie said today. The national security alert system, known as Vigipirate, remains at “red,” the second highest alert level.

“This Revolutionary Afghan Front is unknown, I have never heard of them,” said Dominique Thomas, a researcher at EHESS, a Paris-based social sciences university, who specializes in international terrorism. “The French authorities are going to step up strongly their security procedures, which are already very high during the Christmas season.”

Dear Palmina

I'm the tenant staying at suite xxxx of xxxxxxxx, I'd filed quite a few complaints regarding personal and public safety in this building but nothing seems improved.

Yesterday around 4:30pm I came home, there're three black men and one white woman as a group followed me to the elevator, and there was another white lady seemed to be alone, hence there're six of us altogether. It happened when the group pressed the button on the xx/F they DID NOT use the key and it worked. When I questioned the group, at first one of the men said he DID use the key but I was quite certain he DID NOT. I remembered I was told that xx/F is the sky lounge that residents can actually access to the floor without using a proper key until 10pm, yet the group of people looked suspicious to me. Hence when the elevator reached my floor I didn't go out, I waited and saw the group stepped out on xx/F while they insisted they're living there. Thereafter the elevator went up to higher floor that another lady departed. By then I pressed the button to xx/F again, odd thing was the elevator stopped at xx/F the same group stepped in laughing and yelling. Needless to say I felt intimidated. My concern is, if this group of people weren't residents of this building, as I'm very much in doubt, how did they get into the building in the first place? The security guard from Pakistan was on duty at the time.

According to my past experiences, I may or may not hear from you but I'd like to set the record straight. If I don't hear from you within 24 hours I'll report this case to the police for further investigation, in hopes the police will collect the recorded types by the CCTV supporting my testimonial.

Thank you for your attention and I wish you a good day.

Regards
Connie Missipi

Support Our Troops

US President George W Bush made a farewell visit to Iraq on Sunday, just 37 days before he hands it over to the elected President Obama who has pledged to end the mission. President Bush credits the security gains in Iraq over the past year, attacks fell to the lowest record last month since 2003.

Since the war has begun, more than 4209 US soldiers have been killed, and there are approximately 149000 US troops in Iraq at the moment. A new US-Iraqi security pact will take effect next month. It tends to replace the UN mandate that gives the US-led coalition broad powers to conduct military operations and detain people without charge, if they were suspected to pose a security threat. The bilateral agreement changes some of the terms for all US troops to be withdrawn by the end of 2011 on conditions.

Obama has promised to bring all the troops back home from Iraq within a year after taking office, as long as commanders agree the withdrawal would not endanger Iraq's security and stability. More importantly, Obama stated it clear the drawdown in Iraq would allow him to shift the troops to Afghanistan, as 20000 or more forces are urgently needed and expected to sweep into southern Afghanistan next year.

Across the border, after the Mumbai strikes on November 26, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has just paid a visit to New Delhi and Pakistan to discuss the situation arising out of the attacks. Meanwhile, Germany said that banning of Jamaat-ud-Dawa is ‘not sufficient’ and Pakistan must act to prevent further Terror strikes.

Allies are determined to fight against the radical Taliban largely increased recently in the relative areas. Six Canadian soldiers have been killed respectively in two explosions on road west of Kandahar city over the past ten days. Comes up with a total of 103 soldiers have died on Canada's mission in Afghanistan.

New Journeys Await You

New journeys await you. Decisions lie ahead, wondering what you will do, where you will go, how you will choose when the choices are yours.

Remember that good decisions come back to bless you, over and over again. Work for the ability to choose wisely, to prosper, to succeed.

Listen with your heart as well as your head, to the glimmers of truth that provide advice and inspiration to the hours of your days. And let those truths take you to beautiful places.

Touch the sky, and in your reach, believe, achieve, and aspire.

I hope your tomorrows take you to the summit of your goals, and your joys take you even higher.

Stephen Harper's Call

Courtesy of CTV News

Sources said Mr. Harper phoned Mr. Ignatieff within hours of the Liberal Leader's warning that the Conservatives will be defeated if the Prime Minister doesn't shelve partisan attacks or if he fails to compromise on the budget. Mr. Harper phoned to congratulate Mr. Ignatieff on his acclamation to the party's leadership and invited him to a get-together. A spokesperson for Mr. Ignatieff said the leader neither accepted nor declined the offer.

Mr. Ignatieff later told the CBC that Mr. Harper asked to meet about the budget and parliamentary business, and that he'd be willing to meet with the Prime Minister.

"I made it clear I don't want to get into secret negotiations or backdoor deals," Mr. Ignatieff said.

"I'm there to listen to the Prime Minister because he's the Prime Minister of Canada. And then we'll decide what we have to do from there."

“I am prepared to vote non-confidence in this government. And I am prepared to enter into a coalition government with our partners if that is what the Governor-General asks me to do,” Mr. Ignatieff said.

“But I also made it clear to the caucus this morning that no party can have the confidence of the country if it decides to vote now against a budget it hasn't even read.”

In Memory Of Janet Ferguson

It's been quite a night.

Just a couple hours before I watched your show, I cried badly for a good reason. Then it's you talking about your beloved mom, that I barely remembered when was the last time I cried for someone admirable yet I've never met. My heart goes with you, completely.

Mom looked great and she's right, she must had been very proud of you. We all knew how difficult it was, your professionalism deserved our utmost respect. Mom is gonna be fine for she's probably watching over you now, you can trust me on this one, right?

Dear Craig, you're always in my prayers, and Jesus does love you.

I Am Your Angel

~ Celine Dion & R Kelly ~

No mountain too high for you to climb
All you have to do, is have some kind of faith
No river is too wide
for you to make it across
All you have to do, is believe when you pray

And then you will see the morning will come
And everyday will be bright as the sun
Hold on to your fears, cast them on me
I just want you to see

Chorus:

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I hear your voices when you call me
I am your Angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your Angel, I'm your Angel

I saw your tear drops and I heard you cry
All you need...
is time, seek me and you shall find
You have everything and you're still lonely
It don't have to be this way
Let me show you a better day

Then you will see, the morning will come
And all of your day will be bright as the sun
So all of your fears just cast them on me
How can I make you see

Repeat chorus

And when it's time to face the storm
I'll be right by your side
Grace will keep us safe and warm
I know we will survive
And when it seems as if your end this growing near
Don't you dare give up the fight
Just put trust on the sky

God Is Here For Me

Father, I thought my mission was accomplished in here. Am I going to get married by Christmas?

My precious child, would you sacrifice your marriage to save your country if needed?

Father you know I always do. But this time I'm confident that all our people will stick together to remove the Prime Minister. Now they've seen enough how corrupted this government is and how it hurts our people in many different ways. And I truly miss and love Richard with all my heart.

Child, as you wish, keep praying I'm here for you.

Stephen Harper Is A Pathological Liar

Honestly, I don't like dwelling on one particular issue unless it stays put.

On any given typical day, I usually play my favorite musics from the moment I get up till I watch the news in late evening. I tend to play the music loud not necessarily because I'm crazy about IL DIVO or CELINE DION, but I have to avoid the harassment by the angry neighbours who slam the doors deliberately, the carpenter who lives upstairs working with the electric drill on a regular basis, and the fire trucks and ambulances passing by on a frequent basis.

Since 9:30pm I've been lying in bed surfed on the Internet with my laptop. 9:40pm when the music stopped I didn't bother to replay it. There, magical moment came in time as always, sound of sirens delivered right on the highway being fully calculated. My conclusion is, Stephen Harper wouldn't let go, SO HE MUST BE REMOVED.

In order to defeat Mr Harper, we must take John Manley's advice, "The government must be prevented from running roughshod over the opposition at all times, but especially when the voters have denied them a majority. The best way to do that is for the Liberal executive and caucus to choose a new leader immediately, one who can take charge before Christmas and get the caucus ready for the resumption of Parliament."

While the Tory government expressed relief Thursday over Governor-General Michaëlle Jean's decision to prorogue Parliament, government MPs and party members are asking tough questions about Mr. Harper's future.

Although few doubt that the Prime Minister is safe in his job as party leader, at least for now, many Tories say the PM's authority to direct his ministers has been reduced because of the crisis he put in motion a week ago. Moreover, they wonder whether the opposition will ever trust Mr. Harper again, and whether he is now susceptible to charges that the government truly does harbour a hidden agenda.

Wealth Management

OK I must admit, wealth management is my weakest link. Long before the global crisis my self-made-crisis has already become a nightmare haunting me in all aspect. Never learned to spend my money in a more productive way, and that's bad, very bad indeed. Fortunately, I don't have adequate knowledge to invest on any so-called mini bonds, if I must, I'm mostly interested in James Bond alone.

However, I've always owned at least one property since my early twenties. Was lucky to earn quite a bit at the time without killing or smuggling. Am always believe in real estate rather than some phantom operated funds. So I bought a small handy unit in downtown Toronto in 2006 shortly after I left Canada. I bought it by surfing on line then paid CAD$20,000 for deposit, intended to keep it as my primary residence upon returning.

As you know, and I know, my decent normal life has largely destroyed by indecent Wen Jiabao during the last 18 months. Hence it's impossible for me to make a living due to his shameful harassment and surveillance. Besides he's been checking on my every single move by monitoring my computer and e-mails. That's how I tricked him by searching flight tickets to HK on line a couple weeks ago. As a result I slammed him harshly in his face. I've known that I'm prohibited to re-enter HK ever since I took off in January, because I've become an immune thereat to him according to his self-defense nonsense policy. He's such an utter fool knows nothing about strategic planning but displays his foolishness repeatedly time after time.

Back to the subject, this tiny unit will be ready to take over in a week's time. Out of luck I'm running out of cash to close the deal, and there's no way I can apply for a mortgage without income proving ( oh yes those were the days...Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac ). So what? Forget about the whole thing and call it off. I may well be losing CAD$70,000 adding up the deposit I'd paid and the profit I would have made. But when the door is closed don't waste any time to break it through, just turn around you may find a window widely opened to get you out. Don't cry over spilt milk.

The last thing about wealth management, now my math is rather simple after I'd learned it in a hard way. LISTEN CAREFULLY. It's not about how much you can earn, it's all about how much you can save.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you're brave enough to take over this unit, best of luck. Wen Jiabao may or may not leave you alone. Keep your fingers crossed and turn off the light when using the bathroom. Trust me, you'll get use to it and it's very excited. This is the best I can do for you.

To Be Or Not To Be

Pressure has been growing for Hong Kong authorities to do more to help the hundreds of residents stranded by the political turmoil that has shut down Bangkok's two airports. For any government, protecting the lives and property of its citizens, no matter where in the world they may be, is a core interest.

Stranded Hong Kong travellers have become increasingly frustrated because other places, including the mainland and Macau, have put on chartered flights to bring their people home. In response, emergency charter flights were arranged last night to pick up hundreds of residents in an abrupt U-turn by the government. The decision came after news that HK resident David Yick Hok-wing died and his wife, Fung Man-wai, was injured in a road accident early yesterday morning as they rushed to catch a flight back to Hong Kong. Critics said the bad arrangements had confused stranded residents. There were complaints that some special flights arranged by airlines previously had been largely unoccupied because many passengers - without access to updated information - could not reach them in time.

The government came under heavy criticism from lawmakers. Lawmakers challenged the administration's response to complaints received from stranded residents over the past week, and cast doubts over its decision not to send a charter flight on Sunday.

Blogger's note: At this point, Hong Kong government has got a lot to learn from Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister of Canada. As Stephen Harper had spent taxpayers' CAD $82,727 to charter a jet returning Brenda Martin to Canada this May, from Brenda's lengthy Mexican imprisonment and fraud conviction.

Stephen Harper Is A Joke

Paul Sigmundson
Well if the conservatives won't seek consensus and tries to bankrupt the other parties while calling it an economic measure, why should we pay any attention to their complaints? The conservatives were not the only party to receive votes and they seem to think that they can disregard any other point of view because of their minority control. I can't see why we would allow any minority party to rule in Canada without forming a coalition that would give them a majority of votes in the House.

Matt from Oshawa
Do the members of the Conservative Party not realize that here in Canada we do not vote for who we want to be prime minister? We vote for our Members of Parliment. So their argument that this will give us a Prime Minister and government we did not vote for is seriously flawed. Not only that but the majority of Canadians did not vote for the Conservatives so in reality democracy will be better served and the Canadian population would be better represented with a coalition government.

Dave from Winnipeg
Harper stirred the hornet's nest by breaking his own fixed election date law! If he had not done so, in my opinion, the issue of the opposition going forward with replacing the government before 2009 would never have arisen. He has to live with the consequences of his self-centred and opportunistic agenda.

Dean from Edmonton
Allan Eizinas
I would assume that a coalition government would be far more democratic than that of the Harper Conservatives. He is the PM, the leader of his party and since there is no revolt over this style then he continues to function well through its use.

MDM
The Conservatives were indeed elected in the last election -- as a MINORITY government! There were given a clear mandate to work with the other parties to govern. Instead, they decided to bulldoze and bully their way through, right from the start. If they fall, it is of their own doing. This isn't about the Liberals trying to overturn the results of the election. It is about the Tories not respecting these results. Coalitions form governments is many other places in this world -- and Canada can do it too.

Boundary Dispute

The detonation of a series of nuclear devices by India and Pakistan has increased tension in South Asia and threatens to inflame long-standing boundary disputes that India has with China, Nepal, and Pakistan. The disputes with China and Pakistan have already triggered several wars. The new Hindu-nationalist government in New Delhi has reversed movement toward détente with Beijing and Islamabad. The areas in contention with China and Pakistan are among the largest land-boundary disputes in the world. China and India have yet to address their fundamental and very large land boundary disputes. Moreover, their bilateral relations are complicated by the issues of Tibet (Xizang), Sikkim, and Kashmir. India plays host to the Dalai Lama and a large number of Tibetan refugees. They present an implicit threat to Chinese control of Tibet, which it invaded in 1950.

September 1993, China and India signed an accord to reduce tensions along their border and to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC). November 1996, China and India agreed to delimit the LAC and institute confidence-building measures (CBMs) along the frontier. The agreement pledged nonaggression, prior notification of large troop movements, a 10-km no-fly zone for combat aircraft, and exchange of maps to resolve disagreements about the precise location of the LAC. However, recently India has told China that Beijing's steadfast refusal to clarify the LAC was leading to incursions into Indian territory and political disquiet. The Indian response came after China protested "Indian movements into Sikkim". The Chinese protest was made at the flag meeting of the commanders well before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Beijing.

The concern on the Indian side is that these incursions by China are taking place a little more frequently than India is comfortable with. Despite some pleasant noises between Manmohan Singh and Wen Jiabao, there is unlikely to be any substantive movement on the boundary issue for some time. Meanwhile, China is refusing to play ball on clarifying the LAC because of the underlying concern that India might stall on the larger question of the boundary settlement.

Back in August 1997 the Indian Defense Minister, George Fernandes, had accused the PRC of repeated violations of Indian territory, including the construction of a helipad on "Indian" territory in the disputed zone, and of aiding Pakistan's nuclear and missile programs. He publicly labeled China as India's number one threat and alleged that the PRC was stockpiling nuclear weapons in Tibet, expanding naval activity off the Burmese coast, and conducting surveillance against India from Burma's Coco Islands.

Four Possible Motions

BRIAN LAGHI , JANE TABER and GLORIA GALLOWAY
Globe and Mail Update
November 28, 2008 at 3:45 PM EST

OTTAWA — The federal Liberals have laid out a potential plan to bring down the Harper government by putting forward a motion they could use to defeat the Conservatives on Monday and replace them with a coalition made up of themselves and the NDP.

The Liberals presented four possible motions, one of which says the opposition "has lost confidence in this government, and is of the opinion that a viable alternative government can be formed within the present House of Commons."

The three other motions put forward, while critical of the government's recent fall economic update, would not mean the defeat of the Tories. Liberals were unavailable yesterday to say when they will decide which motion to use.

The first motion says the government failed to recognize the seriousness of Canada's economic situation and has not credibly presented a plan to stimulate the economy. The Liberals are also deeply angry about a proposal that would eliminate the program that provides political parties operating funds based on the number of votes they receive in federal elections.

Representatives of the Liberals, NDP and the Bloc Québécois were deep in discussions Friday aimed at cobbling together a coalition should the government be defeated.

NDP sources said party veteran Ed Broadbent held talks Thursday with former Liberal prime minister Jean Chrétien about how a coalition between their two parties could work.

This is a situation "the Tories have brought on themselves with their economic statement," Mr. Broadbent told CTV News on Friday morning. "I heard business groups this morning, they are unhappy with it. All the opposition parties are unhappy with it. So there is no question that serious discussions are going on."

By noon, however, there were indications the federal Tories had begun looking for ways to avoid a showdown.

Sources told The Globe and Mail that senior Tories have reached out to members of opposition parties in an effort to find out what compromise might be possible. It's the first sign the Tories are nervous that their economic package, which so incensed the opposition, needs to be altered in some way so as to avoid the government being toppled.

It remains by no means clear what the Tories would do to ameliorate the situation, nor what the opposition needs to drop its opposition to the package.

Nothing has been ruled out on the coalition front, one New Democrat said, contradicting reports that NDP Leader Jack Layton would not participate in a coalition government with Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion as prime minister.

That rumour must have come from the camps of one of the Liberal leadership contenders, not from the NDP, the source said, adding that every thing is on the table — including bringing in Liberal House Leader Ralph Goodale to be prime minister.

The co-operation of the Bloc would be required for any Liberal-NDP coalition to function.

Bloc representatives laughed when asked Friday if members of their party were taking part in the negotiations. But both the NDP and the Liberals said the move to unseat the Conservatives and Prime Minister Stephen Harper is being driven by all opposition parties.

For Children's Sake

Benjamin: Dad, have you done something wrong recently? I saw mommy weeping all the time.

Stephen: Absolutely not! Don't be ridiculous and mind your own business son. Go to Facebook chat with your peers and leave me alone.

Benjamin: I don't want to do that because my peers started talking about you in a shameful way. They sent me a link referring to a blogger who writes a lot of negative stuff related to you. It hurts.

Rachel: Same here dad. Teachers in school looked at me in a strange way these days. I overheard they gossiped about you, I felt awfully ashamed.

Stephen: Have you lost your mind? I'm your dad and you should listen to me only! What on earth you'd believe such a thing!! I am the most powerful and remarkable person in this country, you're so fortunate to be my kids yet you should say grace!!!

Benjamin: But I went through the blogger's articles, she seemed very honest and trustworthy. I felt sorry for what'd happened to her and dad you're supposed to help her. Why would you turn a blind eye and even worse to set her up? I have a feeling that she'll become very famous one day by then your story will be spreading all over. Honestly, I don't want to be your son in that case! People will laugh at me!!

Rachel: Exactly dad. Two years later you'll be retired you may pretend nothing had ever happened but how about me? I'll be studying in high school and people will see me as a little monster because I'm your daughter! It's not fair!!

Stephen: How dare you're talking to me like that? Let me tell you I will destroy that woman whatever it takes! Yes I will continuously abuse my power to instruct more fire trucks and ambulances harassing her early in the morning, that she won't be able to film it then post it on youtube. WE'LL SEE.

Benjamin: Dad now you're talking. Do you know that many journalists we met at the conference last month told me they indeed live in the same building with the blogger, they'd recorded everything to support her statements. That's why I'm questioning you. Will you stop harassing her for our own sake? How we're going to deal with this when knowing you're such a dishonest and disgraceful person?

Rachel: Dad, please don't make us to become a joke before it's too late.

The Abduction Of Deianeira

The subject of this painting is taken from Ovid's Metamorphoses IX,101-134. Hercules marries Deianeira after wrestling the river-god Achelous for her hand. Later, during the couple's travels, the centaur offers his services to Hercules in transporting his wife Deianeira across a swollen river. But as Nessus moves away into the turbulent water, he tries to abduct Deianeira. Hercules detects the ruse and shoots an arrow poisoned with the blood of the Hydra into centaur's heart, mortally wounding him.

Here the painter chooses the scene of the abduction; Hercules, alone on the opposite shore in the background on the right, plays a minor role in the composition. All the attention is focused on the taught muscular tension of the centaur's body. His bold, triumphant face contrasts with Deianeira's fright. The positioning of the figures' arms imparts vigor to the scene, accentuated further by the flowing movement of the brilliantly colored drapery of Deianeira's robes.

Guido Reni was one of the 17th century's most influential painters. He worked for twelve years in Rome before becoming permanently established in Bologna in 1614. Reni was influenced by classical statuary and the work of Raphael. The vigorous treatment of the centaur's torso, as well as the anatomical detail, attest to these influences. This painting is one of a series of four works based on the life of Hercules, commissioned from Reni in 1617 and completed in 1621. The works were to illustrate the power of the famous Lombard family, by way of analogy to the mythical hero's strength and courage. The four paintings met with considerable success.

Indecent Conspiracy

21 Nov 4:17am

21 Nov 3:45pm

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to tout free trade as an antidote to the global harassment crisis when he attends the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Peru this weekend.

Free and open markets for False Alarm and EMS services are the best way to ensure the global humanity rebounds quickly, according to Harper, who was to depart for Lima on Friday morning.

Senior officials have said APEC leaders will be using the meeting as an opportunity, to follow up on Stephen Harper and Wen Jiabao's indecent conspiracy.

"My colleagues as well as myself, recognize the importance of this particular moment of chance, the importance of being able to take part in the Wen Jiabao Sexual Harassment Scandal," said Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, who is also attending the meetings.
