Where Have All The Glasses Gone

As you can see, the room is BIG enough to get lost, it's DARK like a funeral home, and who to blame but I'm a DWARF. That's why she DIDN'T SEE ME. It's all my FAULT.

THAT two missing glasses with ice cubes, placed right next to the pizza, were gone with the wind for sure.

Read Between The Lines

- Larry A. Silverstein is an American billionaire real estate investor and operator and the head of Silverstein Properties, a real estate development group. He was the leaseholder of the World Trade Center property at the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks and currently oversees its reconstruction. Silverstein is also a member of New York University's Board of Trustees.

- Silverstein signed a 99-year lease taking control of the Trade Center in July 2001, 6 weeks before the attacks that killed many people and toppled 10 million square feet of commercial space in the twin towers and five other buildings.

- Silverstein has received a lot of attention since 9/11, and his involvement has been well-documented. Four members of his staff were killed in the attacks, but he himself was saved only because a meeting he had scheduled that morning with officials of the Port Authority on the 88th floor of was canceled at the last minute.

- Silverstein told his friends for the next few years, he will be busy rehabilitating the site. To advance his project, Silverstein needs the support of politicians. He has paid three visits to Washington since September 11. As the largest private donor to Hillary Clinton, he has an open door to the office of the junior senator from New York. Other senators who received hefty donations from Silverstein have said that they are in favor of the project at Ground Zero.

- Silverstein is a member of the joint American-Israeli commission for housing and community development, which was established by former president Bill Clinton.

- Back to 1993, Silverstein became entangled in a lawsuit. Harry Miller, a Vietnam War veteran, sued Silverstein, who owned the Runway 69 dance club in Queens, for his alleged involvement in the trafficking of heroin. Also on the list of defendants were Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Ross Perot and Colin Powell, who were alleged to have perpetrated acts including serial murder for 25 years, since the war in Vietnam, as part of a conspiracy to distribute heroin.

- Eliot Laurence Spitzer is an American lawyer and former politician of the Democratic Party. He served as Governor of New York from January 2007 until his resignation on March 17, 2008 in the wake of his involvement in a high-priced prostitution ring. Prior to being elected governor, Spitzer served as New York State Attorney General.

- On the 6th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, the New York Megaphone breaks the exclusive story, that NY Governor Eliot Spitzer filed an amicus brief on 1/15/03 on behalf of the World Trade Center's controversial lease-holder. This document shows that Spitzer, as Attorney General, helped Silverstein get the whopping $4.5 billion windfall for the 9/11 attacks. The record is clear, Spitzer helped reverse a lower court's decision, by making credible Silverstein's argument that the two different plane crashes on 9/11/01 should be compensated as two different terrorist attacks.

- Last fall, Eliot Spitzer was swept into the governor’s mansion with 70
per cent of the vote. His public reputation was that of a heroic fighter of
white collar crime. Earlier he bragged about being very close
to Hillary Clinton. He hinted he wouldn’t refuse an invitation to run
for vice president, if his friend Hillary got the nomination.

- On September 21, 2007, Spitzer issued an executive order directing that state offices allow illegal immigrants to be issued driver's licenses effective December 2007. Applicants for driver's licenses would not be required to prove legal immigration status and would be allowed to present a foreign passport as identification. After meeting with the Department of Homeland Security in October 2007, Spitzer altered the plan so that licenses issued to illegal aliens would look different from other licenses and that the new licenses would not allow access to airplanes and federal buildings.

Freedom Of Speech

What a wonderful Saturday I had let me tell you this.

Sound of sirens...I KNOW you're sick of it, who doesn't? But technically speaking it won't stop and it shouldn't stop, because morons like Clintons and Wen Jiabao must exhibit their stupidity in front of the world in order to prove me right. They're in fact helping, so we've better lived with it.

When using a washroom in the coffee house you must be fully aware, if there's any inside lock or someone may use a magic key to open the door from outside embarrassing you. Even worse you wonder why'd a man lining up for the lady's room. Who knows.

Been to the White House seeing some protesters put on some costumes mocking President Bush. Ever since I graduated from high school I hadn't been debated for a long time, that I certainly had a memorable one challenging the protesters yesterday. It doesn't matter who'd won or lost, most importantly we were able to express our opinions differently just a few steps away from the White House. We acted rationally and in harmony, we're self-disciplined playing by the rules and that's how it worked. This freedom of speech highly represents the fundamental value of human rights, being recognised and largely respected in the United States. After the debate we even exchanged our e-mails and blogs. And what a delightful surprise later I found out I accidentally recorded it. Bloggers, please say grace it's your lucky day.

Mind you we all talked loud not because we lost control, but every time we criticised Clinton there're people around making noise. Mind you again if you feel dizzy by watching the video don't blame me. So check it out if you can put up with my voice, as I can't even put up with it, but I've got no choice.

Am accusing Clinton defending Bush you agree or not I couldn't care less. But at least I've made my point and you'd know why if I get killed, wouldn't you?

Bill & Hillary Clinton's Secret Life

This documentary, entitled Bill Clinton: His Life, came out in 2004, right about the same time as the autobiography, Bill Clinton: My Life. It takes a good, hard look at the dirty dealings of both Bill and Hillary Clinton but, for some reason never achieved the popularity of Michael Moore's fantasy film, Fahrenheit 911. This movie has been thoroughly suppressed by our left-wing media to the point that it's not listed on IMDb, nor can you find anything about it through a Google search. Hopefully that will change now that it's been made available on YouTube. Watch and learn how the Clintons turned the White House into a headquarters for organized crime, communist spying and murder, all while the Clinton-friendly media kept the public distracted by focusing on a few of Slick Willy's petty sexual encounters.

Pants On Fire

I Will Follow You

I'd been to the States many times but I'd never been to Washington DC, the capital. Got up in the morning I grabbed my passport and backpack then gone in 15 minutes. Literally you don't need to plan ahead if heading to anywhere in North America, unless your English is no better than Stephane Dion, or you don't have a Platinum American Express.

Washington DC the capital city is home of the cherry blossoms, all three branches of government; is famous for National symbols and crime, no wonder I saw 7 police vehicles on a location but clueless for what happened. Hack what I'm talking about? This is absolutely none of my foolish business! Let the FBI and CIA figure it out in due course.

I indeed doubted it very much these fire trucks were the ones in Toronto followed me all the way to US. Tough luck, they just wouldn't leave me alone...hello darkness my old friend...I've come to talk with you again....within the sound of sirens...

Non-Negotiable

When A bomb exploded in the Moscow metro in June 2004 at the peak of rush-hour in the busiest underground system of the world, the reaction of President Putin at the time was swift. "We do not negotiate with terrorists. We destroy them!"

While giving a speech in Israel not long ago addressing the Knesset, President George W Bush said the following, "Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is - the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

If one must die for defending one's faith and belief, it's God's will. Trust our Lord, HE has been my strength.

Burden Of Proof

Friday, July 18 at 9:50pm, about 2 hours after the security guard had threatened me.

Enjoy the video, it's self explanatory.

By the way, the police officers had been polite. They put down my personal information then left. I completely understood they're simply doing their job.

Security Matters

subject Complaint re Muhammad Aslam

Dear Palmina

Thanks for your prompt reply, I appreciated it. However, something just happened again at 7:30pm this evening when I came home. What a coincidence I saw another man delivering the pizza and this time I saw Muhammad handed him a key. The guy and I entered the elevator at the same time but all in a sudden Muhammad came and stopped the elevator then kept asking my suite number in a hostile manner. In fact I asked him why he handed the key to the man and I also mentioned I'd filed a complaint to you regarding what he told me the other day. Muhammad got an attitude toward me when asked my suite number as if I were a criminal. Could it because I complained about him? If that's the case, are we supposed to turn a blind eye on things that matter because we may get a malicious treatment from the security guards in return?

When I went up to my suite, the guy who delivered pizza showed me the key it has a label of delivering, and he told me he would return the key later, that made sense to me. But why was Muhammad acted in such strange response? All he had to do was explained it to me in a rational manner. To be perfectly honest, I'm a bit worried of my safety because the way I was treated. Do you think I should call the police just in case? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and have a great weekend.

Sincerely
Connie

Thank you Connie for bringing this matter to my attention. I can assure you that Management did not instruct the security guards to allow the noted access. I will speak to the individual involved and his superior in attempts that this should not happen again.

Thank you,

Subject: Concern about security system

Dear Palmina

I'm the tenant staying at xxxx since this March. For long I've observed quite a lot of strangers wandering inside the lobby of the building, worst of all I've been seeing the guys delivering pizzas come and go as they wished. I'd talked to the security guards before but nobody seemed to take it seriously. Since I'm a freelance journalist and I'd travelled 1/5 of the world all by myself, am very cautions on personal safety wherever I am.

This evening around 7:20pm, I came home there I saw a guy from Domino Pizza walked into the lobby. He briefly told the security guard the suite no then he entered the elevator. I was wondering how he could access to the floor without using any key or accompanied by the security guard. Surprisingly he pressed the button and it worked, that really annoyed me. So I went to the security guard on duty, who's Muhammad Aslam at the time, asked for an explanation. He said he was instructed by the management to release all the elevators except the one with the curtain on. To me that means anybody could have accessed to any floor without using the key properly. Or anybody could have followed anybody to any floor without questioning by the security. Muhammad did not have a clue on what's going on but following the orders given by the management. He insisted I should talk to you.

As mentioned I'm a seasoned traveller, I'd been to many countries considered to be dangerous however I managed to survive by keeping my eyes widely opened. The security system in the building is far too loose for anybody who cares about public as well as personal safety. I honestly hope that you can explain how it works under this kind of ridiculous situation to protect the tenants who's counting on the management. If nobody takes me seriously on this subject matter, I'll expose this story to the media in no time.

Let me stress this again, I'm not being paranoid but most concerned about what's going on in the building. I can be reached at xxx-xxxxxxx or simply by returning this e-mail. Hope to hearing from you soon and have a good evening.

Yours sincerely
Connie

Think Twice & Make It Right

I've told you, haven't I? Ever since I've landed in Toronto, my life has been changed dramatically. Consider I have become a celebrity, every time I go out I would be followed by a whole bunch of people and vehicles, to be threatened or hit by someone intentionally in a super market, department store, or on the pedestrian. Yet I try my very best to behave myself, but I'm human after all, so I do get angry.

I've told you, haven't I? I'd seen a lot of the fire trucks and ambulances running in the GTA on a frequent basis, which is VERY UNUSUAL. Apart from the incidents mentioned a couple weeks ago, the videos you're now watching was one odd case happened only days ago. Use your sound judgement to analyse the plot behind these occurrences. More to discover in the days coming.

Meanwhile, I'll keep praying for our people, our paramedics, our fire fighters, our politicians...think twice before you accept any bribes, I wonder how you could sleep well at night. You're not going to destroy me, but going to destroy the core values of this beautiful country. As emphasised, it's never too late to make it right. I've told you, haven't I?

Freedom Of The Press

This is what happening, time to tell. I'd spent the last two days in the Apple shop located at Eaton Centre, tried to get some help editing my soon-be-winning Oscar documentary. But for some reasons I couldn't get it done, the staff in the shop acted a bit strange that I sensed something had gone wrong. And they kept opening and shutting the door right next to the training counter to annoy me, same old tricks I'd seen before in Rogers or the Four Season's Hotel.

Out of luck I came home to upload the clips by myself, it took quite a while. Well, as you can see the quality isn't good enough, but I hope you'd appreciate the effort, and I promise I will present you the whole story in a moment. Be patient, I'll keep you posted.

Keep The Distances

If you encounter wildlife, the kindest and safest thing to do is to leave them alone and let nature take its course. Wild animals have their best chance of surviving when they are in their own natural environment. Give wildlife plenty of space and leave them in the wild, where they belong.

So if you're lucky enough to see a deer fawn, bear cub, or a moose calf, count your blessings and leave them alone. Only qualified people with special rehabilitator's permits, issued through the Governor General or Liberal Leader, may take in and care for injured or orphaned wildlife. Unless you have these credentials, it is illegal to have in your possession or take any wildlife from the wild and keep it in captivity.

Last but not least, please do not touch them by any means, because they do bite.

Pilot Project For Oscar

This pilot project will be submitted to Oscar nomination as documentary by end of 2008. It has captured quite a few unusual incidents unexpectedly that revealed the stunning truth of how paramedics and firefighters worked as a special team in Toronto. They're everywhere to keep Toronto as the safest city in the world. The movie was shot in various locations with a wide range of sirens being recorded. Hence you'll figure out why the movie is called "Sound of Sirens" in the end. Some exclusive interviews are included to make this movie more interesting.

The Director's cut is expected to finish by end of the August. Stay tune, your satisfaction is guaranteed.

The Role Of Michaëlle Jean

Madame Jean, her husband, His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond and their daughter, Marie-Eden, in the Senate Chamber.

The role of the governor general dates back nearly 400 years to 1608 when Samuel de Champlain acted as the Governor of New France, establishing what has become the oldest continuing public office in Canada. Canada became a country at Confederation in 1867. Our system of government is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy. Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of Canada and head of State. Sworn in on September 27, 2005, the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, 27th governor general since Confederation, represents the Crown in Canada and carries out the duties of head of State. The following are excerpts from her installation speech.

Here today, I am turning a significant page in my own story as I set off on this new adventure with hope and determination. I know how precious that freedom is; I know what a legacy it is for every child, for every citizen of this country. I, whose ancestors were slaves, who was born into a civilization long reduced to whispers and cries of pain, know something about its price, and I know too what a treasure it is for us all.

Every Canadian woman, every Canadian man prizes that freedom and would defy anyone who tried to take it away—of that I have no doubt. Freedom has marked our history and our territory; it has marked our summer breezes and our howling winter winds. It has helped create the spirit of adventure that I love above all in this country, this country where each and every one of us is able to participate fully in the ongoing task of building it. We are encouraged to believe that everything is possible in this country, and my own adventure represents, for me and for others, a spark of hope that I want kept alive for the greatest number.

As a journalist, the profession I practised with passion and resolve, I have been a privileged witness both of a good many upheavals and of an unprecedented opening onto the world. I pledge that I will go on listening and that my curiosity will remain keen. There is an observation by Montesquieu, a philosopher of the Enlightenment, that has a particular resonance for me. It states: "The duty of the citizen becomes a crime if it makes him forget the duty of the man." To this, I would of course add "the duty of the woman," because we want recognition as full-fledged citizens in our own right.

I hope with all my heart that, together, we can call upon the vigour of our shared history to realize our dearest and most ambitious wish: to make a better world.

Order Of Canada

On July 1, 2008, a controversial figure who spearheaded the drive for private legal abortions in Canada, Dr Henry Morgentaler was named to the Order of Canada, the highest honour within the Canadian system of honours.

Created in 1967, the Order was established to recognize the lifetime contributions made by Canadians who made a major difference to Canada, as well as the efforts made by non-Canadians who have made the world better by their actions. The Canadian monarch, at present Queen Elizabeth II, is Sovereign of the order, and the serving Governor General, Michaëlle Jean, is its Chancellor and Principal Companion. Appointees into the order are selected by an advisory board and formally inducted by the Governor General. The monarch appoints the Governor General on the advice of the Canadian Prime Minister, after which the Governor General maintains direct contact with the monarch. Michaëlle Jean, the current Governor General, has served since September 27, 2005; then Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin recommended her to replace Adrienne Clarkson. Jean's husband, the vice-regal consort, is Jean-Daniel Lafond.

Morgentaler has ignited widespread protest against the suitability of being an abortion activist for the award. Many Canadians are dismayed with the decision to grant the award to the abortion extremist, religion hater, self admitted womanizer and abortion chain owner, who has personally highly profited from Canada's lack of an abortion law since 1988. Morgentaler in fact had spent 10 months in jail for providing abortions. Critics said that the award is a breach of customary protocol and that the process was corrupted.

On the matter, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he'd rather see the country's highest civilian award "be something that really unifies" and "brings Canadians together," while, Liberal Party leader Stephane Dion said, "Dr Morgentaler has stood up for a woman’s right to choose for his entire career, often at great personal risk," and asked Canadians to respect and celebrate the decision.

Shame On Robert Mugabe

While the G8 summit leaders tried to tackle a host of economic and environmental woes, the Group of Eight rich nations also agreed to impose sanctions against Zimbabwe's leadership because of violence during the widely condemned re-election of self-claimed President Robert Mugabe, the 84-year-old Zimbabwean ruler, who has been in power since independence from Britain in 1980. The G8 leaders added that they did not accept the legitimacy of any government that did not reflect the will of the Zimbabwean people.

The United States and Britain had lobbied for a strong stand at a G8 summit in Japan, after Mugabe was declared winner of a June 27 poll boycotted by opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai. "We will take further steps, inter alia introducing financial and other measures against those individuals responsible for the violence," the G8 said in statement at its summit in Japan. U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad said he believed there were enough council members in favor of a U.S.-drafted sanctions resolution, which would impose targeted sanctions on individuals in the government and an arms embargo on Zimbabwe. France's U.N. ambassador, Jean-Maurice Ripert, said he believed there would be enough Security Council votes to pass the sanctions resolution this week.

However, such a resolution could face stiff resistance from China or Russia, each of which has a veto in the Council. Although Russia signed onto the G8 statement, Moscow has expressed misgivings about sanctions, which are also opposed by African nations. Despite warnings from the G8 that investment flows into Africa could suffer if Mugabe was not dealt with, there is little support on the world's poorest continent for sanctions.

South African President Thabo Mbeki and a number of other African heads of state told the summit in Japan that they were against sanctions. Instead, a summit of the pan-African body- divided over what to do about Zimbabwe, adopted a resolution calling for Mugabe to negotiate with opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

All You Can Sleep

The plush lobby of the Drama King Hotel in Beijing is usually crowded with foreign guests this time of year. Most of them lounging in LSD, a hip bar, listening to blues and smoking marijuana, or queuing up in the sauna spa after smashed dinners at the Epoch restaurant. But last night the Drama King had only a sprinkling of guests in the hotel, which occupancy rate is typically close to 100 percent. Wen Jiabao, the Hotel Manager & Engineer said after tapping a few computer keys, it stood at just 13 percent at the moment. Many operators have been depressed and have gone crazy.

"I really don't know what happened," said Jiabao. "Something strange has been going on, but I'm sure there's nothing to do with me." Jiabao lit a cigarette and continued, " The problem, it seems, is that with the Olympics less than five weeks away, the authority has been scanning and selecting journalists from entering the country, in the hope of suppressing the freedom of the press, or unruly visitors who might plot to disrupt the Games. And hotels are being asked to give the authority detailed information about the foreign guests including their naked photos. Because things are looking so bad now, we are struggling to find guests. Thousands of hotels, restaurants and tourist agencies that were hoping to cash in on Olympic fever, are now facing the prospect of empty rooms, tables and buses."

"Business is so bleak," Jiabao complained, "Since May our occupancy rate has dropped by 88 percent. The authority appears less concerned about being the host of a global party, but more concerned with making sure no one spoils it. Our hotel is going to launch a All-You-Can-Sleep promotion, offering guests who pay for one night may stay for the rest of their lives. We're so desperate, we just need to fill up the empty rooms in order to look good. We're such a great nation, we can't be defeated or humiliated!"

What About Patriotism

~ I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.

John Diefenbaker (From the Canadian Bill of Rights, July 1, 1960.)

~ Our hopes are high. Our faith in the people is great. Our courage is strong. And our dreams for this beautiful country will never die.

Pierre Trudeau

~ Patriotism is not dying for one's country, it is living for one's country. And for humanity. Perhaps that is not as romantic, but it's better.

Agnes Macphail
