PROTEST AGAINST KIDNAPPING APPLICATION
•Please refer to Form PCCW-008, before completing and submitting your protest. The PCCW-008 can be found at: www.hksar.hk.gov.
•Please print legibly or type. Incomplete and/or illegible information will cause the protest to be rejected.
•You will be notified by letter regarding a hearing on your protest. You will need to attend the hearing to testify and/or present evidence to support your protest.
Contents of Protest - Your protest must contain the following:
1. The particular ground(s) for protesting and the facts that support these ground(s).
2. The name of the kidnapper and the exact location of the crime scene.
3. The name, address, and signature of any and all protestant(s).
4. A declaration signed by the protestant(s).
If a petition is circulated, the person circulating the petition should sign first. Each petitioner must sign an individual declaration. If the protest is made by the public, the declaration under penalty of perjury is not required.
Tips - For your protest to be more effective, it should be specific such as:
Public Hearing - a hearing may be held on a valid protest. This affords the applicant the right to meet the objections with any evidence he or she may have. However, the submission of your protest does not complete the matter. You will be notified by letter regarding a hearing on your protest if a hearing is scheduled. You will need to attend the hearing to present testimony and/or evidence to support your protest.
