God Listens

"Mom, I don't want to go to school."

"Why sweetheart? I thought you always like studying at school."

"Yesterday Donald the big guy who sat next to me, said that he's going to beat me if he saw me again."

"Sweetheart, don't be afraid and this is one thing you must bear in mind, do not let anybody intimidate you whatever the reason is. Did you tell your teacher about this?"

"Yes I did, but she said Donald must have been joking. Mom, I'm scared because Donald has been very mean to me, at all times."

"Sweetheart, don't be scared I'm here for you. Now I'm going to school with you and we'll talk to Donald politely. If he wouldn't listen I'll talk to his mom. If his mom wouldn't listen we'll call the police."

"Mom, what if the police wouldn't listen?"

"Sweetheart then we'll pray because God listens, as always. And we must stand up for ourselves as we must conquer the fear instead of hiding from it. We face it, we talk about it, that's the way we deal with it. Now you dress up and we'll go."

"I love you Mom."

"I love you too, sweetheart."
